Hand-held rock drill used for demolition and partial reconstruction
Introduction
hydraulic rock splitter is a new method for demolition project.
Power units are availiable in three types-Diesel,Gas and Electric to suit all job conditions. When selecting a power unit, the following points should be considered:
Job conditions usually determine type of power for the hydraulic pump.
Air-Since most of the time air power is used to drill, power unit with air motor will always be useful. Noexhaust gases, not affected by water.
Gas-When all available air must be used for drilling, or when compressor is removed prior to splitting, or where power unit must be moved around frequently, a gas power unit is advantageous.
Electric-it is quiet, no exhaust gases, useful inside buildings, crusher installations.Less maitenance required.
All models can be converted from one power unit to another. Gas to air, elctric to gas, air to electric.
Description
It is a machine which is used in mining work of construction stones, the secondary breaking of large rocks and the partial or integral removing concrete facilities. It can split the objects into many pieces in the natural cleft surface.
Advantages
Granite rock splitter is one of the efficient, safest and easiest ways of mining, dimensional stone quarrying, demolition & removing mass and reinforced concrete.
New model no splitter standard configuration is 3 aluminum cylinder with centre wedge and one counter wedge for each, and plus diesel motor engine, pump station, and high pressure hose etc.
How a rock splitter Works:
The wedges are placed into a drilled hole. When a splitter is operated, the power pack produces high pressure oil to drive the piston of the splitter cylinder which in turn pushes the middle wedge down. The downward movements of middle wedge forces two counter wedges against the wall of the hole. When the tension increases beyong the tensile strength of the material, a split will occur.
Step 1: Drill the holes in the rock/concrete required to split of suitable diameter and length.
Step 2: Put the wedge group of cylinder into the hole. Check the position before starting the splitter.
Step 3: Once the splitter is initiated, a crack will be developed due to expansion of counter wedges. The cracking direction of the rock/concrete is the same as of the splitter handle
